Tips to make a great social profile

 For all geeks and tech savvy people on the Internet like me, a Social Profile is a high requisite to well define our niche and interests over the web. It proves to be a highly efficient tool to be able to make an online presence, a name for ourselves. A social profile is a page (or group of pages) that contains various information about of who you are, what you do, your interests, why you are important and similar things. This blog post is about what a social profile can do and tips to make a great looking online social profile.

1. Be yourself:There must be many things running in your mind to be put on your profile. But you need be yourself while writing anything on your public page. The thing is that your social profile is your public appearance on the web. People will look at your social profile and will get to know about you from it. So it should be something that is about you, that describes you. Put in information about yourself, about what you do, about why you matter. So you need to add all that is relevant to yourself.
2. Add some fun: You don't need to appear boring from your profile, that includes a slobby information about you and your work. 4. Back to old school language class: Yes, Grammar. This is a must for your content, write up, anything that you post over the Internet. Spell check every part of your language.
5. Mind your language: You really need to take care of the kind of language that you use on your web profile. Some of the very basic chat abbreviations like "lyk", "nd", "cum" should be avoided.
6. Add links to all your other profiles: When you start to build up your social profiles, you will realize that all of them are needed to be shown on your main profile as some of them will have pictures (Flickr), some might just have your social updates (Twitter). Many of these profiles do provides batches and apis which you can use to display feeds from their platform to your profile. If not, be sure to put them in a block with all other social profiles.
7. Make your profile search engine friendly: Last but definitely a very important point. Your profile content should be filled with keywords that are highly relevant to your work, your interests etc. It should be search engine friendly.
