Real-time Search
If you are an avid surfer, a web enthusiast, you might already know what i am going to talk about. Twitter's Search is the most widely used example of this buzzing technology. What real-time means is that the content gets indexed as soon as it is published and is ready to be searched out for. This means that, as opposed to earlier cases when the content was still available after being published on the web site, users can go to the web site and read/use the available content but will be indexed and get ready to be searched out after a time lag; in real-time search, the content will get published and will get indexed in no time such that anyone can search out that content. This technology is very much suited for News, Social Networking etc. Google also introduced its part of the real-time embeded in its regular search page. Here's a video by Google describing its approach towards real-time search.
